Criterias
- Any movies I have seen of 2015 released listed in the IMDB's 9,000 list (link provided in previous posting)
- As such, the movies listed were theaterical list where TV movies not qualify.
- Does not matter what categories they are in. The word is "Best" on what I like.
- Only movies I have seen. There may be movies which are good but I have not seen which therefore not qualify for the polls. There are also movies I have seen but forgotten while looking at the listing which may be "forgetful" anyway.

Process
- The list are put in a spreadsheet.
- First selection is on those which i think should be in the list
- Second selection is to narrow the list further from the selected first ones
- On reaching a manageable figure, I will then put the list in sequence.

THE REVENANT

Watching this movie is an experience ! The movie was directed by the same man that brought Birdman. After watching this pretty long movie of 2 hour 36mins, you really felt that you were at some very cold snowy and icy place. Not only that, you felt that you know already how to survive in the most extreme condition ever. To name one - cut open a dead horse, throw away its inside, get yourself naked and sleep in the horse. This when you are facing a blizzard. How cool can that be !

To me the cinematography was a breakthrough. Most of the shots use a single camera. Moving but not shaky cam. Some of the angles and takes are so innovative and clever that you think this is like another modern day hitchcock when his techniques were talked about by directors after him. I wonder how it felt to see this on a large screen and 3D (if there is this version). Even you can hear the actors from your left or right side when they are speaking behind the camera. Simply brilliant !

The camera takes is like still photography from a photographer in moving forms like the one you see in the old war movie stuffs. And being maul by a bear ! You got to see this and you'll believe that the bear actually mauled the poor guy.

The main actors were Leonardo and Hardy. They have worked before in Inception.

Thumbs up for this ! 

HE NEVER DIED

Dont judge a book by its cover. In this case the front pic of a man with wings and then the IMDB ratings of 7.6. And its been categorised as Comedy. It may be good.

First I know that this is a low budget movie and I didnt expect anything much either and hoping for some comedy as it is a comedy.

The main actor is actually familiar to me - Henry Rollins. He was hosting this TV show about 10 facts you dont know. He was also a rock performer with some bands in the 80's if I am not mistaken. And i also like the female co star checked it on imdb, virtually not well known thou she could get better jobs if marketed properly.

After watching the movie I wonder what is the objective the movie was trying to relate ? Not even comedy as the comedy was when you got surprise at the things that Jack (HR's character) did. Fighting is good but dont expect Jack to fly ! At the end of it which to be left hanging, I wondered WTF happened ?

The direction is not bad actually. The fighting scenes looks real and not some low budget flicks because it didnt rely on any special effects

See this if you dont have anything better to do.

A PERFECT DAY

Before watching this movie, I took my time reading the IMDB's reviews wanting to know what makes it ratings quite admirably. One review went on to say that it is a spanish production which Hollywood should treat as its own production and not a foreign film one. It went on to say that a foreign film that Hollywood treat as its own was "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" or something like that and won many oscars too. If it was a foreign film then the only oscar it could win was best foreign film. This its say has to be that way. Well with that I went to see it with hih expectation.

Well after painstakingly trying to complete the movie, I thought how naive can that expectation be.
1st the movie is in English with some Balkans speaking with translation. Both Benico and Olga spoke English as though they are from the US which were pretty convincing.

The problem with this film that it went on with full of build ups but there was no climax with a simple plot of looking for a piece of rope ! And it took them miles of travels, many people they ask until they found one that could do the job which i beg to defer.

Anyway, Benico is a good actor as I didnt see him as the same guy in Sicario. Olga was not bad at all when she is in acting and not action movies. Tim Robbins was his normal self.

It dont deserve the rating and good if you want to lull the time away in front of the tube. From this movie, I know that the roads in Balkans are quite challenging - over the hills and far far away. One slip and you are dead.

SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE

This film is funny if you can stand the many offensive sex jokes contained in it. Like when Jason's character explained to Alison's character how to masturbate and reach orgasm with a cookie bottle with his fingers. Amigosh, not everybody knows that !

Of course scenes involving love making. Not totally exposed thou. Thing is like other directed movies which have these sort of scenes - why do the women have their bra on ? Not on wanting to see tits alone but basing on common sense and being natural. If it is real life i dont think the bra is on. But because the actress do not want to expose their breast or the movie cant have an X ratings, so they are in a bra ! But i think its still best to conceal them nicely or use better camera angles even though love making is the scene. I came across some movies which did this properly.

I cannot accept the whole concept of it - you can sleep with other people but not with the one closest to you because he or she is your best friend. Totally opposite with friends with benefit movie, dont you think ?

But this movie do have its moments like the punching scenes and sarcastic jokes thrown correctly.
Not that its a bad movie but the joke can be in a way if one is conscious about the real perspective of the real world.

THE GOOD DINOSAUR

The main complaints I read about this movie is how cartoonic the characters are despite the splendid rea life background. And... I agree. Its not that they do not blend with poor textures etc, they did, but why drawn to that shape ? Perhaps to be more friendlier with the children audience ?

Unlike other cartoons i have seen, this one does not entertain me that much. Other cartoon movie (although they are cartoons !) have their touching moments but this one only 1 when the small boy (smud) depart with Arlo,. The rest did not hit it.

Is it necessary to tell that this happen because the doomsday meteor did not hit earth and so the dinosaurs lives ! Not only that, live to be intelligent creatures who can farm and store food ??

This movie is after all for kids. Maybe the whole plot is just to explain how the dinosaur encounter a small child ? And why did the T Rexes herding bissons ? Perhaps to rear them for food ? And so many of them (bisson). Well these are the things that spoil what is expected of a cartoon dinosaur movie like the others I have seen.

To me, not worth the imdb ratings. Shouldnt be made.

Got the chance to see this movie at home in the dark (is it worth the treatment) with some grubs.

Been sometime last saw Will Smith in a movie and in this one he do looks old or made up to be old as he is acting a real (still alive person); an expatriate Nigerian  pathologist living in US. The funny thing about US movie (my opinion only) is that when you have an alien (someone from out of US) an American actor would potray it. But film of iconic Americans, non american actor would do it. Well not that Will Smith cannot do this guy because he did well right to his ascent. The thing is other non american actors can play the role, even better ? Like I said, WS played the role well enough. In some scene you even got scared when is agitated with what I called the "oscar moments". Well thats just my opinion. Now back to the story.

The issue is really really big. But like what happened with another true story film issue ; Spotlight, its got forgotten easily and fast. Bennet (WS character) proved that concussions in football will cause brain damage in the long run. So thats explain the erratic behavior of some football players (American NFL). But most of them extreme behavior like killing themselves !

The one scene that make sense to a layman was when Bennet started his presentation on the subject to whom to be his co writer with this paper. How he explained about the speed flight bird zooming into water to catch fishes or even the woodpecker knocking its heads billions of times. The thing is, they are created to do such things but human are not. Our brain is actually suspended in fluid in our skull. Yes that analogy scares the shit out of me. So does other sports like boxing and others. Even IMDB verified that Muhamad Ali's does not suffer from Parkinson but actually a form of brain damage caused by concussions (CTE ?)

This movie has its best moment but I think its length of a bit over 2 hrs diluted the message. Bennet's personal life, to me, should not have been emphasized too much if the objective of the film is to nail the danger of the issue.

Anyway, this is produced by Scott Free Ridley Scott's film company and was supposed to be directed by him.

8.6 on IMDB one of my awaiting film before 2015 closes. Hulk, Birdman and SabreTooth all in here but in human form. Dont forget Rachael McAdams too. Will give a watch and give review fast as possible.

Got to see this film which went on to the wee hours of the morning. It is only a bit more than 2 hours. Definitely the few breaks in between for food and toilets, extended the time spent.
Before watching this, other than the review, had watched Chris Stuckman's review of the film giving it an "A" which is as good as Star Wars TFA. Of course you cant compare them both as they are in different genre. This film has more stars than one could count. Billy Kudrup was there too so does that guy from CSI. So there is no complaining about the acting. Like movies basing on true stories they got to keep it to the facts which I think they did. Like CS said, they dont look like acting rather than being reporters. That I agree except for Mark Ruffalo who at time blowing his top. Not over acting but his character required that. He looked skinnier with an accent as he is Portugese.
Yes the film is great if you are in the genre of course. But here are two main points I am raising.

1. Reporters who did their jobs to the best they can
They dont care about money nor recognition but finding and telling the truth. Nor can they be bribed or intermediated or threatened. At that time (2001-2002) internet was just starting out so the print version of their papers was vital in passing of information. Hand phones were already around but smart phone which help the spreading of news still aint. These are people who carry the responsibility and integrity of reporters. If we have reporters like them, our country aint shitty like it is right now. Amin. In the movie even the lawyers  and police asked the reporters where were they (reporters) when it began (the scandal is nothing new)

2. Take a look at the church institution
It should take the public by storm that the people you seek for guidance and teachings particularly for your kids are actually the devil who tormenting them. Its not merely a Boston problem as it is a US problem it is the world's own problem. This film should open the eyes, if it dont than you are either blind or deaf.

Kudos is actually with the new editor (Liv) of the Boston Globe because he was the one who initiated the story and backed it all the way until it was published.

Currently hot in the local Malaysian cinemas right now. With the long holiday weekend and a direct head on with Star Wars The Force Awaken, this could be another alternative for movie goers. Why not as all time favourite Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is in this.
I was surprised with the action in this movie because there were lots of it. Car chases with expensive cars and wrecking them too who could ask for more. Even they create CGI scenaries for the cars to drive through. Kindda or smart when you see an arieal view of 2 cars chasing one another on a narrow row on top of a cliff bordering the sea on both sides.
There's also this theme song that keep playing on through out the movie which kind of catchy and could be a hit among hidustani music fans.
Fighting and shootings are not bad too. As usual and equal share of romance, singing and dancing. At 2 hours 33 mins long kindda short for a Hindustani film, dont you think but everyb fans will enjoy for sure.
Any tears flowing, see it to find out.

BRIDGE OF SPIES

This is one of my awaited movies of the year. Not about the action or special effects but on the drama and the acting. Directed by Spielberg and starred Tom Hanks at 2hr 20 mins long; it didnt feel that long. Its based on a true story about Donnovan (TH character) who from an insurance agent became a reluctant criminal lawyer to a skillful negotiator. Set after WW2 what can you expect to take place ? I am sure some parts cannot be real yet such as how fast and easy for Donnovan to call his wife in New York from Germany on a pay phone ! But the film feels real. Thumbs up !
BTW theres one thrill scene which was amazing during the spy plane shot down.

Adam ruins everything - Death

In this episode about Death which touched not on the religious or beliefs aspects rather than on the science, social and economical side of it. Adam had his hand on serious acting and also the special effects department worked on Adam to be really old (at his death bed). The real culprit in the death process(in the US that is ) is the burial process where the company (the name was mentioned made billions. In one part the advice is to get away with coffin and do (as expected) like what the muslim has been doing (definitely no mention) covered with cloth and bury. Also it advise to tell what should be done to you before you cant do that and let the people around you guess what you really wanA good episode this one on an important subject.

IN THE HEART OF THE SEA - Cinema - Now available

Saw this movie at Jusco Kepong with son Adam. Thought of seeing Point Break but that had the 18 tag. Anyway this is not a bad choice as Ron Howard directs and Chris (UnThor) Hemsworth acted. Reviews were good so it should not be a bad choice al beit the absence of gadgetry in the movies.
As reported in this blog, I managed to watched a documentary on the writer of Moby Dick novel which this movie was loosely based on. Why loosely as it was not actually based on the novel Moby Dick but another novel relating to that novel. As in the documentary what happened in this movie was true where they were on boats in the sea for 90 days etc. But whether basing on the characters of Owen and the captain that I am not sure. But only some of them were rescued in the end and they do resort to cannibalism just to stay alive.
The movie is not actually boring as expected when you have movie about our past. The whales look real and Moby Dick can be scarry. Acting as mentioned in the reviews were good which I agree. But as a director Mr RH do look at different ways to capture common scenes to bring it up todate which works. Thanks to the documentary how they kill the Whale and harvest it is not that surprising as it was revealed in the film. But to know that lives of these men at sea for years got me in awe. And how they survive on the boat for 90 days is a miracle ! I dont think i can last a day !
One fact is that the ship should collect about 2,000 barrels of whale oil and 1 adult whale can bring in 50. So that amounted to 40 ! No wonder MB is so pissed of with them.
I came out of the movie expected of what was expected. Being a sea man is a tough lives. Thanks god we on another life and another time.

EXTRACTION

Why you should see this - Can Bruce Willis get out from doing another shitty movie ?

I had to see this one to asses whether Bruce Willis can get out from acting in a shitty movie. Well the IMDB ratings beforehand had informed us that he did not at 4.0 for this one. Not even Gina Cararo can save this one with the young Hercules guy as the main action star.
The first issue was the question if this movie i downloaded was really short at 1hr 22 min or being butchered by censorship. There was one instance where it get from one scene to another without making any sense like if some chunk of the film was missing. But imdb confirm this that it would be that short.Now as we know if a movie is this short the chance that it would not become bad is slimmer. But that aint happening either.
So whats wrong ?
First is the script. You know how bad a a script can be but to have this line "I may even fuck your father.. " Harry's friend was telling him, was really gross, really. You dont expect much acting as it was full of action. And that is another problem. The fighting was good especially the toilet scene between Harry and the oriental guy. But the camera action is over done that can make you in a daze.
The editing was overdone. Too many cuts and camera angles here and there it makes it old fashion. Today movies dont need so much editing anymore. One scene was when the plane about to land. Why need to take many angles before it touched down ? The extragavanza main theme titling was not necessary. Trying to make it like a James Bond montage it aint.
Background Music. This is my main complain. Just too much of it. Added with the over editing making it a real mess. They should learn from watching Homeland for example. Music only comes when you need it and not overdone.
So thats my review on Extraction. So BW is again in a shitty movie. I guess he and Keanu is trying to find one that can bring them out of the hoodlum. 

STEVE JOBS

REVIEW
A well done movie is like this one. No action or special effects just conversation. And it all takes in real time in 3 scenes during the launching of Apple/ Steve Jobs products. But you know that it is beautifully done. The camera works and all that in making a film. Exceptionally like always is the power of the script which was penned by Aoarin Sorkin who did West Wings and Newsroom and even The Social Network. Dont know how much was said in the movie is true but it bring up the characters really well. In the end its the relationship of SJ with his daughter.
Like the Dark Knight movies and many more, this American film of American true characters are at the helm of British. This include the director Boyle who did "slumpdog millionaire". Michael Fassbender did not look anything like Steve Jobs and I dont even know if how he act is anything like the man. But he did it well. Nothing in how he speak tell you that he is not American. So did Kate Winslet who did great Job. The chemistry of both of them, in real life, should have them marrying one another. So much support given to SJ through out his presence. Not forgetting Seth Rogen, but forget him being a comedian for a while for this film did not show him such most of the time.

I heard that this film is very good. Some even say that Sly Stallone should forget acting in action films and concentrate on acting because he is very good in this one.

REVIEWED
The movie is long at 2hrs 10mins for its genre as such at times it felt draggy. But its ok with good acting and anticipating what will happen. The first fight using only 1 camera was effective. This also means that the fight was real with no takes and no play acting. Slyvester has his greatness moments in some of the scenes. As I can remember he is no more like the Rocky he was in the younger days. Noticeable that his lips is not as slanted in this one as he was. Maybe in real life he finally got it done or old age got caught up with that. But he faced something that at first he just gave up then with the motivation of Creed he will fight it. But one thing that surprise me was how younger SS looks when he first appeared on screen. I remember in Rocky Balboa he really looked old and worn out. Perhaps in real life steroid has the best of him. But towards the end, Rocky really looks old because of his condition (no spoiler)

You cannot group this movie with other Rocky movies from Rocky 2 onwards. Its more towards Rocky the original movie where drama is the first priority fight is second.

I cant compare this with Southpaw either because its that slow at times like the Director dont mind that it wont be remembered with the boxing scenes.

Anyway, it is a good movie with no unnecessary over acting. Perhaps they could be follow ups for this one but whether Rocky will be in them is a question.

OBITUARY : Peter Quinn Homeland Field Agent

Homeland
- Actually Carrie is like Jack Bauer. Not as tough but vital to the team (thou shes no more in the team). She carries a gun with a sling bag like JB did to save the day in this episode. The touching part is when she hold Kasim's hand before he died after saving the Berlin's main train station from being consumed with poisonous gas. She however, managed, to kill Kasim's cousin who shoot him as he tried to stopped the gas release. In his dying breath, Carrie is heard to "mengucap" for Kasim. Sure this is wrong but then again not all Muslim wants blindless so called jihad just like Kassim.
Sadly, we bid farewell to Agent Peter Quinn who did not make it after brain surgery.
CSI Cyber
- The team tried to solve bank attack where Cyber Robin Hood spurted money for the masses to take. This episode focuses on Raven the blonde mix Japanese white hat.

SICARIO

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the toughest amongst us all ?

This was one of my awaiting movies of 2015. Read and heard that its very good from the non spoilers movie reviewers. I dont think it came to Malaysia due to its violence. Even if it came, dont think worth watching at the movie due to its violence. So when it came out in BlueRay, i was happy for this film worth the headphone on with the lights off and a jug of tea treatment. Was I wrong ? Read on. Soft spoilers alert.

The direction and photography is very good that i must say. How it captured the 5 sync moving SUVs into Mexico was amazing particularly the aerial view. Followed by at the toll gates shooting spree. I thought this a Soddeberg with M Mann movie.Really got me at the edge of my sit especially the earlier part. Background music is really sparse but effective when it came out. It was so when the movie starts with a drum beat and its get louder and louder. But near the ending it seem like a computer game of sort where you are following these mercenaries like virtual reality even with night vision.

Thou the after kills are gory you dont get to see when it happened in the most of the killings. So its worth seeing in the dark. Blunt is not as strong as she was in Edge of Tommorrow. Did not exploit her sexiness very far. And very good American accent like you cant detect that she was British (now US citizen if i am not mistaken). Brolin is Josh Brolin. The surprise one is Del Toro. But you have to see it to find out why.

Watching today

Who is Donald J Trump
- Saw this documentary on DJT. I think this is one of his branding or marketing with the masses. He is the only one out of the rest of the candidates to have this so much media exposure. Some of the things he said can be so ridiculous but then again you come to think that "you can do what you gotta do". His suggestions on not allowing muslim to enter the country may be harsh and stupid. The again has not US been doing that after Sep11 ? Still think that he got the make of the US president. Just like in Malaysia you need a good administrator not a politician who got so much ploys that makes you wonder what he is doing is for everyone's good or his good. A good administrator is of course one who carry out business for the sake of the right objectives and not "what is in there for me?" culture.
Conan - interview with Star Wars cast
- As always HF is the most funny and commanding. Still wondering why the blonde who was under Captain Phasma was even called ? We didnt even see her face in the movie. And also why is Lupito too as she only act to plot the dots on her face to create her character. Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) is some sort of camera shy.
Star Wars : Sky Film special
- This has clips of the film plus interview on the character with Oscar Isaac (Poe) as the main. Pretty interesting on how they relate in making the film.
Major Crimes
- One of the better episodes. This time one of the plot is about a daughter of a baseball player die of accidental cocained overdose and how her mother and bodyguard try to cover it up. The other one is about Rusty's case.

This is a 3 parter TV series by Showtimes. Same company airing Homeland and a few other nice TV series. Furthermore it is based on the book by Arthur C Clarke who as you know also wrote 2001:Space Odysey
Thou its a 3 parter each parts is about 1 1/2 hrs long (as long as 1 movie) so that would be 3 movies seen.
The movie is SyFy produced. Well you know how shitty can their movies be. 1 point added - if it is action mvoies. If not, like this one, its pretty nice thou you can see that the Spefial Efx not that top notch at all.
At the beginning of the moive thought that it would be straight forward Sci Fi. But towards the 2nd parter, it become like a religous movie and horror too. It has many sub plots and many characters too in it so as to make it this long which I am pretty sure they are also from the book.
A bit dragging at times but what holds it together is the storyline. After all its about the end of the world for godness sake.
Its a previlege to know who was the last man on earth and how he become that person. Like other books or movies of the same theme - We need to start taking care of this earth before we are given or last chance. Fantastic 4 (the old one) 2 - with the silver surfer in it (or is it 3?), Interstellar and The day the earth stood still deals with this theme.

REVIEW
This movie is from the book by the same author who wrote The Fault is in our stars. Its about teenage's stuffs like expected. But PT is not as sad as the other one. It seem to look like a pursuance of love between 2 teenagers (Quentine & Margo) graduating to Universities (at least one of em). But more on the friendship of 3 friends in supporting one another trying to find what seem to be the one he love (or think he love).And due to this he and his friends (+ 2 other females) travelled in Q's car to travel 1,200 miles basing on the clues that Q thinks M left for him. Inspite of that at the possibility of missing their prom.
To me the movie is OK in understanding what Teenagers would do to get what they want. But the problem is the question why were their parents not supervising enough ? Margo's parents didnt mind that she went missing in fact refuse to file a police report as she "left home again". And there is no question on why they allow their children to travel 1,200 miles in a Honda MPV. I think Q's has a driving license if not it is definitely off plot.
The back ground music was nice. How the 3 friends behaved when they are together are fun and real enough particularly when they were at the prom.

- This episode is useful but not hard facts enough like some other programs relating to the same topic. Adam could be assassinated for bad mouthing some very well known brands. But thats him.

The Profit - KOTA boards
- Sometimes some people just cant change or joint ventured with. In this episode Marcus met with one by the name of Mike. BTW that guy who hosted Ridiculousness is in this one as an expert which he is.

Deep Inside Reese - How to take a nap
- One time download and view as it was about How to take a nap. Quite interesting. There is this girl who can breakdown her nap into a few segments through out the day and came out with only 4 hours of downtime nap. The requirement for adult is still 8 hours thou.

Obama's at war (documentary)
- This is a nearly 1 hour long documentary on how the current Obama's administration relate to the current issue of ISIS. After seeing this now I know that the birth of ISIS got to do with US aid or intervention. It is also the result of Obama's reluctance to provide military aid in Syria to topple the regime when it clearly used chemical warfare. Obama changed his mind and refer it to Congress to get approval. By a stroke of luck Kerry's suggestion that American intervention would stop if Syria surrender all its chemical weapons which the Russian managed to get Syria to do and US to agree. The birth of ISIS was due this non intervention when it was after all welcomed.

The Big Bang Theory
- This episode is dedicated to the opening of Star Wars TFA with another plot of Amy's birthday. Sheldon gave up watching in just to celebrate his GF's birthday ! Why not bring her along to the movies or just see the movie and reschedule the movie or the other way round. His no reaction for not seeing the movie, more or less I know this character, is not real.

The day has finally came 17 Dec 2015. We will be watching this long anticipated movie at a local cinema in Kepong, Malaysia. This is the 7th installment of the Star Wars series. Lots of followers it has. Some say it could take over Avatar as the highest grossing movie in history. Can it ? Our review coming up tomorrow. May the force be with you.

REVIEWED
So by about 1.30pm 17Dec15, it was over. It was not only me who was eagerly wanting to give my views rather than all the other net people including Jeremy Jahns and Chris Stuckman. Also took my time to go see other reviewers. Non of them have the heart to bring in the spoilers to their reviews as the US is only opening the next day. What about mine then ? So here is mine - no spoilers. If any it was accidental !

Casting
Rey is not a tough gal at all. But her fighting is believable. But to play swords (with mind controlling skills) instantly without any training is a wonder. Even Luke need to see Yoda and trained for sometime to play the swords. Maybe its her gift or in DNA. If Yoda is still alive he would definitely say - In this one, the force is so strong
Kylo Ren is not strong especially when fighting Rey the newbie gal Jedi.
In reviews I heard a lot of praise for Daisy Ridley (no ties with Ridley Scott) the brit gal who play Rey. In a way her mannerism is much like Keira Knightly. Also another Brit girl who came up in Ep 1 as the Princess body double. By why choose a Brit ? Her friend Finn is already a Brit but acting American. Yes she can act superbly but no she dont have the built for it. She could have worked out for some brawn before taking the role. That could work. But maybe her seemingly hopeless weakness is the thing that audience will relate to ? I also came across that Mathew Vaughn (the one that directed Xmen first class and Kingsmen) passed the opportunity to direct SWTFA because of the choice for Rey among other things of course. I can give a better choice for the role which may sound ridiculous at first but think about it - Melanie Benoist. ; / Melanie who ?? Find out yourself and you may agree.
Agree to what everyone is saying about Harrison Ford. He was good. Cant remember how was HF 30 years ago but he was sure a cocky character. But his jokes was spot on only an actor of his caliber can deliver on those.
Notable actor that we are familiar with but got nothing much to do except die was the silat guy in the Raid 1 & 2. He was part of the gang wanting to take over Han's ship.
Cant spot where were Simon Peg and Lupita. They must be one of those aliens.

Action Scenes
The aerial dog fight was fantastic. Truly enjoyed when Millennium Falcon first piloted by Rey. That was real and thrilling.
Fight scene
Like I said not as athletic when Liam and Ewan were Jedis in the Phantom Menace. But still belieavable and interesting. But what I dont understand why can Finn used the Light Saber ?? I thought only Jedi or those with Jedi's DNA can do that. Perhaps it can open to another plot in future episodes perhaps that Finn is actually the ancestry of Samuel J Jackson's Jedi character ?
And now about mask people fighthing. It happened right from the 1st spiderman (with Tobey), Captain America and now Kylo Ren - you have to fight without the mask if not if wont be that expressive enough.I can still remember Darth Vader fighting Luke - he got his mask on ! Yet it bring on that emotion even though he was under a mask - because he cant live without it anyway.
Kylo Ren's voice was well amplified even his slang. Adam Driver's of Kylo Ren is perfect on how he walks his stature etc. It makes people scared like looking at a ghost. I came to know that he insisted to be Kylo Ren and not other actors even if he was fully covered.

Content
I think the TFA is hard trying to exhibit itself that the phenomenon of SW can still be felt if it is shown today with the right hi tech movie making which it did. There are so many scenes you think that its another version of the first (hmmm or the 4th episode) one. Example - the fight in the battleship, the high structure fights, the shoot in the hole of the Star Killer etc. In the end it shows that it can still be entertaining. Even with higher HiTech surely the current director is better than the original one : /
Having old characters and old story can be both good and bad. Good because you dont have to build the characters or story much more. The bad is that it lacks the element of surprise.

Conclusion
Overall it is a fantastic installment of the saga. After all Disney paid $4billion for the franchise and I am sure they expect to earn more than what they have spent. Cant wait for the next one to come up and I bet JJ A will still be the director.
Yup its over and done with, life will go on.
