Saw this movie as planned. Why see this was because of JB. Perhaps due to this many appearances in TV Talkshows promoting this film, makes me want to see it on big screen. Plus the good reviews from my 2 fav and followed youtube movie reviewers; Jeremy Jahns and Chris Stuckman. Also plus its movie for the family.

Now on the film.
The film start off slowly establishing the fact that Zach and the mother had moved to a new town. Only after the first Goosebumps appear (call this) i.e. the Snow man then things get pretty fast pace. One complaint that CS mentioned was the CGI kind of lame. I agree when it comes to the Werewolf part. The snowman and others looks OK but the werewolf was like its from Werewolf in London stuffs (yuck!). However the funniest part of the movie was with the werewolf chase in the supermarket, very funny.
Agreed that the acting of both two leading kids were great. They carry the movie through. In fact the twist of the movie about Hannah was touching and it seperate the movie from movie of such theme. They could be big actors in the future with the right parts and path. Zach could turn to some leading hero like K Reeves did in Speed. But his good acting will bring him higher.
JB's part were kindda of short. Not much of his solo antics in a movie.Like his part of being the leading character is unlike others he had in before - i mean his character. This movie is like a team effort one.
Overall the movie was OK. Below expectation because expectation was rather high due to the above factors.

 Yesterday's blog
All is set to see Jack Black at the movies tomorrow 11am at TGV kepong. Its a family outing. Good reviews from Jeremy Jahn reviewed. Also Jack Black appearing every where on talk shows to promote this film. Hope to have a good time and may the film not disappoint.

Finally saw this movie on TV screen. Had to say its below expectation. Olga is too thin and pretty to play the role. And the director took advantage (who would not have expected) to show off her model figure especially earlier part of movie - panties et all, at the hotel. Better acting actress could have carry this one further.
Over dressed robbers - what the heck all of them wearing dead pool outfit robbing a bank ?
The dialog was lame and make the film not too intelligent.
Plot is very thin and by the end of the film did not feel it had taken audience for a ride or something thou it is a bang bang movie. One good example a movie of this kind that is at a higher level was the Equalizer. Dont think in terms of budget this one is far off than that movie but it was not nicely executed.Morgan Freeman as a bad senator. Didnt see that in the poster. Role wasted.
One intellegent move by Alexis (Olga's role) is coaxing the policemen to shoot down Mr Washington by still refering to his tie.
BTW, Purefoy aka Mr Washington was Solomon Kane.
I think there will be a sequel if this one make some profit in the cinemas.

Got to watch this movie even with its low ratings in imdb 5.7 (?). I think its the first time Jessica Alba's root is shown as Hispanic. Salma Hayek was used to be typcast as Hispanic, perhaps due to her strong spanish ascents ?
Now what can I say about the film. It is an above average romantic comedy. What can you say for a man to leave everything he has in England to follow his GF to live in LA and ended up in a crummy institution. Thats where his weakness (or rather strength) to take responsible for his child. But then again how come Kate (JA) left him for this guy who play Comm. Gordon in Gotham, Ben Mackenzie. Cant figure out how she can fell for a comical character and leave Richard (PB). The storyline is rather logical as it can happen in real life. Not those romantic movie with superficial love and love story.

Bridal Wave

Saw this movie because it was still the HDD not deleted yet, short at 1.5hr and need a dose of comedy. Thou it was not mentioned, this is a TV movie. It does give you the feel good feeling when it ends everything seem to have its closure nicely. On checking IMDB it is a hallmark romance one and at 6.6. Morale of the story is when you are with someone at work for a long time and real close, you may confuse that is love rather than merely depending. The failure to lunch is logic enough. But the concierge not knowing who is the groom and assuming someone else to be one may be beyond protocol. Yes Georgie looks familiar but unknown. She is Dwayne J gf in ballers.
