REVIEW
Saw this one at the local cinema Jusco sometime back before this blog was created. So this is a belated review. Hope that i can still recall the movie.
This stars Rupert Friend who is Peter Quinn from the hit series Homeland. He can act as a cool killer all right but physique wise he is no six pack. Also read that the Paul Walker was to have taken this role before his untimely death.What reviewers complain was the usual cheesy lines, poor special effect and acting. But i beg to differ and give this movie a "satisfactory outing" at the cinemas. I like it. There could be follow ups judging from what happened at the end of the scene. Did Rupert did better than timothy ? I think so from his bloody cool acting. And what about Zachary Quinto as the villian ? He's Ok too and not extremely memorable at one. Will sure see it again after downloading. And that to me is good stuff.

Pay The Ghost

Got to be another disastrous outing for Nicholas Cage with rating of only 5.2 on Imdb. Wait for its appearance.


REVIEW
Express see this muvee ahead of others as it was the only muvee or TV series in the thumbdrive. The attraction is of course Nick Cage is in it. Nice surprise Sarah Callas (of prison break) was in it also as Nicholas's wife.
Wont explain much about the plot as one need to see it. But at least there is a plot unlike most ghost muvees.
Not a horror film fan and watch this with no expectation. But i ended up liking it. I must say the after seeing ghost  muvee satisfaction of this one is even better than Poltergeist2015. No it did not elevate NC's stature in muvees. Even he cant even run in some of the scene. But without him as a veteran actor maybe the muvee wont be as "real" as it had been.
All female actors are slim. Kate, witch woman, professor even the ghost !  But thats a welcome compliment actually.

End Of The Tour

This movie could be great with rating of 7.9 (wtf!) ! on imdb. The cast are good too - Jason Segel (How i met your mother (TV) and other forgettable movies) with Jesse Eisenberg (Social Network and the upcoming Lex in Batman vs Superman). Choose to see definitely.

 REVIEW
This is a true drama about a journalist who is also a so so writer following while interviewing another writer on his last book tour. It happened in 5 days (from imdb), quarrel along the way on very petty and misunderstanding matters but parted away as friends. Then 12 years Wallace (interviewee played by Segal) shot himself. So this is Lipsky (Jesse/interviewer) flashback of that interview.
Its a drama and a lot of yikity yak. Whats important to absorb oneself in this kinda of movie is to get the conversation and ponder on its meaning. Anyway, Wallace seem to be a great writer having written a book thats over 1,000 pages long and yet people buys and read it.
It also tell how friendship built in the course of knowing another person that one admired but due to a work project. Segal was different in this one thou he always play characters that try to be funny but not so funny. Jesse like his usual self. Wonder in real life is the contrast in height of both of them are for real ?
Good film if you expect the film to go this way. Also tells you how an interviewer operates.  Anyway he attended 8 years of interviewing degree (for real or joke ?)
Out of context, are houses in the US built like the one in the movie ? By the roadside with very large window with only glass no fence or grill. What no crimes expected ?

Lets see how Mr Geldof do a take an older version of sherlock holmes.

Momentum

Finally saw this movie on TV screen. Had to say its below expectation. Olga is too thin and pretty to play the role. And the director took advantage (who would not have expected) to show off her model figure especially earlier part of movie - panties et all, at the hotel. Better acting actress could have carry this one further.
Over dressed robbers - what the heck all of them wearing dead pool outfit robbing a bank ?
The dialog was lame and make the film not too intelligent.
Plot is very thin and by the end of the film did not feel it had taken audience for a ride or something thou it is a bang bang movie. One good example a movie of this kind that is at a higher level was the Equalizer. Dont think in terms of budget this one is far off than that movie but it was not nicely executed.Morgan Freeman as a bad senator. Didnt see that in the poster. Role wasted.
One intellegent move by Alexis (Olga's role) is coaxing the policemen to shoot down Mr Washington by still refering to his tie.
BTW, Purefoy aka Mr Washington was Solomon Kane.
I think there will be a sequel if this one make some profit in the cinemas.
