Stumbled on this video on Youtube downloaded and uploaded it to OpenloadCo. If nobody download it for a duration of time then its bye bye for the video. Its an old video of 2011 and in Blue Ray, so the quality of the interviews are good. As for the rest, particularly the concert footage - it comes as what they are. Anyway there are quite a number of havent seen footage which are bonuses for DP's fans of course.

To me, this Movie documentary could have been retitled "Glen's Purple featuring Lord" because it contained a lot of interviews GH. Next is Jon Lord. I mean the interviews meant for this video back then in 2011. Not that it was not good but it gave a good perspective of DP during the GH's era. Some unknown but interesting facts revealed like the song "Coming home" had Tommy Bolin's on bass when Glen Hughes was nowhere near the continent when they made the song. Got to see to know (no spoilers)

I always thought TB is not a good guitar player. It was glaring in The Last Concert in Japan. The fact is he was not really playing the guitar because of his arm's numbness due to indirect result of taking drugs prior to the concert. They wanted to feature the gig as an album because it was the only and last time TB was caught on film alive.

JL's tend to get emotional at times during his interview when he touched on the significant moments of the band's history.

Mend for those who are die hard fans of the band especially the Mark IV and you will not be dissapointed as it got footage and facts you dont know before this.

Not from the DVD rather than a tribute to DP's MarkIV line up.

This movie stars Joseph Fiennes, not James Bond's M, but the younger brother.

It is about the rise of Jesus Christ (?), I believe, from what being told and written from the bible. What I know there are a few versions and I dont know which one was this taken from. It started from the cruxification of JC right to when he rose from the dead and commanded his 12 apostles to spread Christianity.

Through out the movie, you are not told the name Jesus rather than Yeshua who was played by Cliff Curtis. This guy could look like a Negro, hispanic but more like an Indian. He could also look like a Jew in this one. JF played Clavius one of the roman's commander who got "converted" but turned down to be one of the apostle.

The movie is slow with not much of action or effects. The only motivation to view this is to find out what finally happened or when the movie end. To me how easily was Clavius being turned to believe in Yeshua hard to understand. How a Roman commander who slained Jews suddenly turned a new leaf when he met Yeshua. And also how the Apostle believe in him that he had turned is also a wonder. But since it is based on a "true story" of sort, it could happened. Perhaps like "Eddie the Eagle" the part of Clavius was fictious ?

The Romans soldiers seem kind and gentlemen like thou you see dozens of bodies been thrown to rot after cruxification.

Good to see if you are into drama. Ok acting I suppose. It would be better if it had shown the cruelty and the torture done by the Romans and how Christianity started to spread. Spicing up the action would also be great. Perhaps budget is a constraint and so we are left with this version.

This movie has a ring to it. The first that'll come to your mind is the question - has it got to do with the movie of a similar but unique title which is Cloverfield ? I can still remember that movie where it was as though taken from a handcam all through out the film.  At that time it was one of the first to experiment with that kind of movie technique. In a way it helps to make a movie interesting despite its low budget. That movie worked for me as it was effective. In the end we finally discovered what the "mysterious" terror was. Only a short glimpse it made the movie work well. But that was this movie what about this one ?

Nope it is not taken from a supposedly handcam perspective. Its not too low a budget but the set made you think it is and it applied the same formula as the earlier one (not saying that it is related :) It keep the suspense right up the end and spend the budget of the movie at the end too.

No surprise that the main attraction of this movie is that the producer is the respected JJ Abrams right after the huge success of Star Wars TFA. The movie has his element but not directed by him. 

This movie was give the awesometacular rating by a Youtube movie reviewer (i think you know who) and I grabbed the first chance that I can get hold of the respected download version of it.

I am not disappointed at all watching it but it did not get the thumbs up as nothing much the movie can do about 3 people in a bunker. It has its moments all right. Its strength lies in the acting of the 3 stars. Maybe John Goodman can get an award like JK Simons in Whiplash for this one, the scary guy. Elizabeth Winstead was also good. She deserve an award too if this year Bree Larson got for Room which till now i disagree.

This movie is recommended if you like drama and built of suspense in a film. With such thin plot and to drag it for about 1hour 40mins is a feat indeed.

Saw this movie as it is about music where Amber Heard and Chris Walken is in it among others. 

Chris Walken is an old crooner who wanted to revive his career and Amber Heard is his daughter.

CW did his singing here and he is good for the type of Frank Sinatra kindda of music. Amber Heard is ok in her singing too. Both of them acted very well and that element is the thing that made the movie interesting and worth seeing. 

Go see this if you want a good father daughter drama story. The music, not so much

This movie has got so many stars in it like Casey Affleck, Gil Gadot, A Mackie, Winslet, Ejiofor,  Aaron Paul, W Harelson and some more.

In this film K Winslet plays the badass Russian Lady Boss and Gil Gadot the sister and marreid to? Ejiofor with a child.

Its about the dirtiest of cops who do work for the Russian mafia. They are definitely in their payroll. Doing things to the point of killing people (thats bad!). 

The action is good and so does the acting. But to me it failed to reach its potential as it haas many stars resulting in too many characters to develop. Its editing of going from one story to another did not help either. And theres that thing that "anybody can die" element of it. If done sparsely is good but done too many times can spoil the movie. Furthermore, making too many plots make the understanding and enjoyment of the movie a little lesser.

But like I said you wont be dissapointed in the action department  and gory too. Watching how some robbers got clumsy after robbing a bank is surprisingly funny to me.. but shit happens.

I AM WRATH

This movie was chosen to view definitely due to John Travolta in it. Rebecca De Mornay was also in it as his wife. And that girl from TV series suit as his daughter acting believable indeed. 

JT obviously had been going thru some kind of Botox or plastic surgery just by looking at his face.

The plot is all too familiar for a movie where in the end you finally knew why what had happened. Corrupted cops where the ordinary citizen had to resort to violence in order to get justice done. Finally crooks discovered that they had ruffled the wrong feathers and this happen to be one who had special set of skills. He got of hold of his colleague and off they go through town with a vengeance.

How the movie was titled and which he had also tattooed the same word on the whole of his back just because of a phrase from the bible that was left open when he threw the bible to the floor. That was pretty convenient. People may think that this is some horror movie or something.

To me JT did not come that strong as the vagilante. He could have donned a mask and become Batman would have been more appealing. But why he decided its time to go is not real to me. Through out the movie he did not potray as that kind of guy unlike Punisher in DD2. If Punisher you know that he is asking for it. But this one did not gave that to me.

See this if you like to see a shoot shoot bang bang movie. JT had acted more convincingly as the bad guy in many other movies he was in like Face Off, Swordfish, the Pelham movie and others.

THE BOSS

This is a comedy film starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Bell and Peter Dinklage. Much have been said about MM. Some would say some of her films are good like Spy some (in fact many) are not so good. Not so good as she tend to be over the top at times. So I dont know what to expect of The Boss either to be entertain with comedies or irritate with idiotic rants.

Wel it turn out this film is not so bad. Noticed that MM is always wearing a dress that covers her neck. Maybe the wardrobe dept wanted her to be like that to look rich as her character or something else which I dont really bother.

I think MM pulled it off by being a good business woman - how well she spotted a potential business and then analysis on future potential success is good. Also when she sold the business and how they got it back is also good requiring slapstick which add points on the comedic nature of the movie.

Recommended this movie for those expecting comedy as it is some sort of sarcastic comedy. There is a moral to the story of having no family and going from one foster parents to another.

DIRTY GRANDPA

This movie have De Niro and Efron in the lead roles. Most people, I think, chosed to see this movie because of who in it rather than whats in it. 

I wish it was a better comedy but unfortunately it seem to be concentrating on other things to make it more marketable such as ZE's body and ass. It has so much dirty jokes and dirty scripts and plots that for sure it is not mend for the kids. Like the title it is a "Dirty" movie. Thou De Niro as the grandpa can be considered as cool, the term "dirty" apply applied here. From his previous movies so far, I think Zac's is being stereo typed as an actor who must show off his body to sell. Thats kindda of lame. As for RDN, its another one of those "passing" movies he want to get involved in.

See it for a session of "dirty" comedies. It could have been more effective if the focus is on the comedy and not on being dirty to be a comedy.

Saw this movie right after Gods Of Egypt at MBO, Brem Mall. Just a gap of 10mins enough for me to decide whether to see this (if I still got movie stamina). This one was at Theater No 9 while GOE at Theater 7. It was really a treat for me when watching GOE as I was the only one in the cinema. For Zootopia, I shared the movie with a family sitting 1 row in front of me. All 2 adults and their 4 small kids.
Thank you to MBO for treating 2 free movies every year for her member's birthday month. Of course the movie must be with a star (*) i.e when the movie is already "old" or about 2 weeks old. Thats OK for me.

I remember commenting that MBO cinemas audio is not good when watching London has Fallen. Well it seem that, Theater 5 (LHF) which we saw might have a sound defect or the technician forgot to turn on the bass ! As for both movies today, it was good (not very good). The visual of Zootopia was excellent as it was cartoon.

This movie has a "Buy on BlueRay" rating from Youtube movie critique Jermy Jahn Thats the highest of his rating whilst GOE got his "Dogshit", the worst one.

As for me my smiley - it could have been better. But nearly got the thumbs up.

What I like is about the diversfying animals and characters in this movie. Unlike we homosapien, its hard to diversify who we are as after all we are all human. The only diversification is the color of the skin or fat and thin and thats about it. But in Zootopia the diversification is immense every animal has its characterisitics and the creator had succesfully nailed it. And thats what make it interesting.

The story evolve on Judy Hoops a bunny female who became the first bunny cop. She befriended a Fox who was a swindler. It was this 2 who tried to solve a case which noone ever thought they could. The interesting part is through out this quest they met with other animals.

The main segregation of the animals is who are the predators (tiger, lion, fox, crocodile etc etc) and the preys (bunny, hen, giraffe etc etc).. So the story is about the problem of trust that started to develop between this two types due to some sabotage.

This movie is cute with very nice cartoons and even camera taking. Although it has a good plot maybe its not big enough to be carried as a movie. Maybe thats just me. Then I discovered why, as the movie was initially intended to emphasize on Fox rather than the bunny. But due to differing test audience response they redraw and made the bunny as main and Fox secondary. I am glad that they took this decision. Nevertheless, that made the movie kind of no fixed direction. If the story without the Fox (even as Secondary) and they make Judy Hoops the main character, though this is difficult, the movie would be better. No matter, Fox (Nick Wilde) is an interesting guy too but when he is with Judy, I think I lost the concentration on Judy. Its a children's movie, BTW. Who cares ! 

But that is OK only that it could have been better.

This is one movie which had been condemned by reviewers on the internet so bad. Some say its not funny at all some say this is end of spoofs films as it is so bad that no one wold take the risk of making spoofs film anymore. Well, well, well.. I beg to differ. Its not that I am trying to tell that a movie is good when its bad or vice versa. I will tell from my own experience of watching a movie. Non of us are the same thats for sure and it may as well be in watching movies. Some would say a movie is bad when he or she has no interest in it in the first place or having a bad day when watching it or simply trying to be different that everyone else. Well that aint me. I will give credit when credit is due and vice versa.

First, the download copy of the link above is not that good. The images is sharp but darker and the sound is obviously taken from a cinema. But its much better than the average cinema (or toilet video) copy.Sometimes the audio is out of sync but still it did not spoil the fun watching it.

What are the known names in the movie for me ? Marlon Wayans in the leading role of course, Jane Seymour as his mother (obviously adopted)and his adopted father looks familiar. Russel Peters also made a brief appearance. Not familiar with Hanna Steal but she did a good impression in mannerism of  Dakota Johnson's character, the Grey's version of this movie. However this girl is a bit heavier. 

This is a spoof film and everybody knows that from the film's title right up to some of the shots in the film and also the dialogue and script. I wonder if this film could be sue by the original version producer ? And in the movie you also have spoofs from "Magic Mike", "Zero Dark Thirty" and other movies.

Lots of vulgar, obscene jokes and body anatomies in this one including penis and balls. The strength of the jokes were the slapsticks but most of the times in the dialogue too. Its one of the better spoofs movie I have seen. Those I saw before this showed that they are cheap low budget movies but this one is not that. Yeh (spoiler) Christine took Hanna in a bus instead of a helicopter to his apartment the first time, thats how they maintain the budget down but you dont see dolls and effects that made it low class and low budget like other spoofs movie.

I really laugh at some of the jokes and giggle at others. But it was actually fun watching it. But to do that just forget about what others are telling and dont expect too much out of this but to me it delivered.

Hei, even the original version "50 shades of Grey" was also condemn by the reviewers, some respected reviewers named it the worst film of 2015 ! Are you kidding me ! Then how come its got $600mil (if i am not mistaken) in ticket sales. Let see some of the overrated 8.0 IMDB ratings do that !

This is a movie that everybody has been waiting for, 3 years including myself. So got the chance to see it at the cinema with family on a Sunday morning show as the tickets are cheaper.

Like I mentioned before when Man of Steel came out, you just cant compare a DC comic movie, at least the one directed by Zack Synder, with a Marvel comic book movie.

I saw many people got this wrong when small kids started to cry as they became restless because this movie is not meant for them to enjoy like they might thought with the Avengers. And I stand corrected again in this one. The direction in this movie is for Adults to enjoy if they understand and if they like the super heroes in the first place. If they expect a straight forward bash em up movie like The Avengers, then they are in the wrong cinema. The movie has that same form of direction  like other ZS's movies like Watchmen, Man of Steel, Sucker Punch, 300 to name a few. I dont think everybody like it like the kids who expect to be enjoyed or the parents who might not enjoyed with the kids they brought along. Then this disappointment bring about the complaints that it is not to their expectations.

Before wathcing this, I got the chance to read some reviews from other revieweres. True the film suffers because it was mend to be a platform to build on the Justice League and worse the decision to cut it to 2hrs 20 mins from the original 3 hrs had affected the story telling significantly. You can feel that its editing is too fast from one scene to another and failed in momentum building. But for the current length it was a drag to many and what if it was 3 hours, it might be a pain. People come to be entertain and not be acknowledge, I think that was the reason.

I can say that this is a Batman movie where Superman and Wonder woman are his guests. Its not a Superman movie with the others are his guests, like I initially thought. But in this one, Batman has been rebranded to the Ben Afflecks version. So I think thats what the director was trying to do. And that took quite a chunk of the movie.

Without Kryptonite, SM is league ahead of BM. He could have killed BM when they first accidently met but he didnt.

The action was very good but BM looks fatter still in the armoured suit. His BatJet and BatCar is also formidable. His fight without the suit was more real than Christian Bale's Batman.

The fights of the two was both made possible thorugh the mastermind of Lex Luthor. But that also brought the two super heroes understand one another. The hate that BM had for SM was real due to action beyond SM control.

There's a very big surprise at the end of the movie which follows what the comic book story plot. But dont worry theres plenty to come.

So thats the review. As for me, I enjoyed the parts where the fights are. As the rest of it I apprecitae for the initiative to create the tension between those two and thats bring down the excitability of the movie. But as I said this is a Zack Snyder Super Hero movie so dont expect a Josh Whedon's Avenger's will ya.

I hope I got to see the directors cut 3 hours version in the future in the form of BluRay.  

LONDON HAS FALLEN - cinema viewing 16th March 16

So the day at the movies finally came and I went to see it with my wife. As always I was skeptical watching movies at this particular movie outlet. And I was not wrong as the venue was a disappointment. Although the screen is good, sharp, I cant say the same for the audio system. I told my wife, our own home made audio system is better. Never have I got annoyed in watching a movie not because the movie is shitty but the venue is, or merely the audio is the culprit. Poor bass and maybe treble on the higher side. Thou the sound is loud and clear, for conversation, I cant say that its good for the sound effects.

Now lets talk about the movie - London has fallen.

Many reviewers like this film even JJ and CS said so. But still they said it cant beat its predecessor Olympus has fallen which I agree. Perhaps letting a US president let loose with his bodyguard in a deserted city of London is too big a task to take to entertain.

The special effects was a let down in the required places. I thought this will be the film strength when watching its trailer but its not. Some bombs scene was not real. The helicopter escaped too was cartoonish. Even the ripples and waves of  London river was below average to me. Film like "2012" or the recent "San Andreas" did this better even on a grander scale. Thou this was only some briefs moment, they still failed starkly.

This is another film of US supremacy against the terrorist. In the end we can predict who won and what it took to win. The Brits did play their part adequately to help the US. MI6 was in this in the form of a female Agent (sorry no Mr Bond here). And the SAS did help Mike Manning to save the president.

Lots of explosions and fire power. How I wish the sound was better !!! as it only hurts the ears.

But at the end of the movie when everything finally subside and you salute the hero who is Mike Manning aka Gerard Butler, you realized that that guy is actually a British disguising as an Agent in the Secret Service body guarding the President of the US. Ooops sorry that is real life this is actually a movie after all. 

Giving it the rating above and I am trying to count out in the physical disappointment of the cinema.

So I finally saw this film after an unusual long months of waiting for a good download copy. Watched this with my son as before it came out in the cinema he wanted to see it. Too bad it came with a rating 18 (he's only 13). But after watching this movie at home, it should not have got the 18 ratings. That goes the same for Need of Speed a few years ago. There are politics going on in the censorship board for sure. As I complained on a Malays film with foul, bad language, shootings, knives, hitting police and all the the other stuffs got into the cinema with a PG13. When asked why ? The director says because somebody had leaked the film over the internet and if they are tagged with 18, then income would be less. Just because the father of the director is closed with the Police does not mean that you can make that as an excuse. But anyway the film went through with a PG13 ! Well forget about this local hypocritical bullshit for a while and talk about the film instead.

But still why it took so long for it to come out with a clear copy. Just the opposite of Star Wars: TFA, this movie has very bad reviews from Youtube reviewers JJ and CS. They even say they fell asleep watching this. Gimme a break. Anyway, maybe the reason is because the producers were afraid to spend more money making blu rays and nobody buys ? 

OK lets talk about the movie.

It is a remake of a 90's hit of the same name starring Keanu Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze. KR played Johnny Utah and PS played Bodhi. In this film you have not too popular actors playing the 2 parts. But if you read IMDB, the parts were actually offered to known actors but they declined due to one reason or the other. I think the physicality requires for this film is the best explanation.

The film could have been better. The actions are fantastic thou. It looks so real and you wonder which one is the special effects. It was spectacular watching on LED TV and cant imagine how it was at the cinema. It makes you wonder in awe that there are places like this in this world. The waterfalls, the mountain top, the sea waves (which could be fake) and many more. 

This remake does not follow exactly what the original story was although there are familiar part. But to me nothing could beat the part when KR (without a parachute) jump the plane to catch PS (with parachute).

I agree with the reviews in saying that character development was lacking. Not that their acting were poor rather than their character were not interesting or they did not do anything to make them memorable. Also I would caution the director to do some timeline story telling when two scenes which are years or months apart but are back to back. Audience might miss the Time imprint to tell how long it was from the previous one especially when the first was 7 years apart and the 2nd one 7 months apart. They look the same and that was the problem.

I enjoy the film despite the handicap above. Its an action film which try to have serious acting and serious story line of what made them do the thing they did. Anyway who cares for that and it miss the mark. But 5.4 on IMDB is on the low side for me.

From the looks of its poster and the title, you think that this could be a cheapskate B X  movie ? Well not necessarily so. Most of the actors I dont know except for Anthony Anderson (of blackish fame and was in the 1st transformer) and the senator. The father (step father?) is also a familiar TV series face. Although AA is named last in the opening credit, he was adequately acting in the movie. The 2 main "nerdy" stars are unknown but to me they carried the film well especially Limus. Sometimes you feel sorry for his sorry ass hoping that he'll stand up for himself. And Bardot the robot is eye candy. Looks like a slender Elizabeth Banks and dont act much (as she is a robot daaa).

Yes despite the poster and the title, you have little skin exposure in this movie. Many who were hoping to watch because of that would be disappointing. The background music was accompanied by some jazzy band trying to do something like the Ocean's 13 (and so on) movies. Being low budget but it works sometimes.

Till the end wondering how is Lumis's family actually. Is that his step father and step sister but they seem to be so domineering like a real family. Perhaps they try to pull like a Jurassic Park 2 movie one where Jeff Godblum's ovie daughter character is black but no one ask why and how. So that goes with this one too, I guess.

I would have emphasized a lot more when the boys discovered Bardot after crashing on her after all she was near naked. Theres non of this as the next scene was Bardot in the boy's car.

Its not a waste of time watching this with the familiar topic of robot becoming human. Thou you could come up with lots of complains on how things happened like the way there were, but if you dont take the movie seriously, you'll be OK.

The production of the movie is nicely done and you dont feel that its a low budget movie where the credit goes to the Polish brothers? who directed and also wrote the movie.  Ending is like a Jackie Chan movie where it show goofie failed scenes.

I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES

There is a song of the same name came out the same time (in the 70's)  "I believe in Miracles" . Sung by Stylistics (a black group) a very drooling romantic song. However, it did not appear in this film.

Why the satisfied smiley up top ?

Well I like the the craftsmanship in making the documentary on how it is presented and the editing. It made a subject like this quite engaging for 1hr 40min film. Its just footage of interviews and old TV coverage of matches played in the 70's and 80's of Nothingham Forest (An English football club). How they came from being nobody to somebody winning the European Cup twice 2 years in a row. Its all because of 1 man, Brian Clough, a former English player himself. The film is well made.

When it shows the present players, how old they have become when compared to their hey days of the 70's. Those that I still remember during my school days of quite following the English football in this documentary is Peter Shilton and Trevor Francis who played for England too. The rest, I dont quite know, maybe they played for other British Isles rather than England.

Sadly the main star of the film Brian Clough had died way back in 2004. Reaso is typical. Too much drinking spoiled his livers. Liver replacement only allow him 2 years to live. Thats a pity.

You like this piece of film if you are a football fan and particularly fan of Nothingham Forest. If not what you will see will be meaningless.

To me, the director/writer had managed to bring a story to life from interviews and old TV footages. Good marks in IMDB too, which it deserve. Smiley agreed.

I have seen this movie long time ago in 2012 when it first came out. Cant remember was it at the cinema or home. Most probably the later as I remember the quality was not that good, must be DVR or something but not toilet video copy. Why watching this again ? Well the director Rian Johnson will be directing Star Wars 8, so just to see if he is qualified or can I enjoy watching this again.

This movie has Joseph G Levitt and Bruce Wilis acting as the young and the older one. JGL had to do a bit of make up to look like BW when he is older and it was a great  from the face job. And the mannerism is very good too. I think if I were the director I would ask BW to act the part where JGL would act in. So JGL just follow how BW did it. But since he is good that was no problem. Even the talking sound the same. Well done ! Anyway JGL is one of the producer so he could be the one to pick BW to act in this. Guess who am I gonna pick as my older self ?

Other notable actors are Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels. The boy Sid was in Extant the TV series but a bit older then. 

So as expected I cant remember the movie. I know that its about time traveled where the older Joe (BW) traveled back in time to correct what could happen in the future. This concept of time traveling is much different than others. Its ok for them to touch and punch one another unlike "TimeCop" a slight touch could spell disaster.

The movie is Ok i guess not because I have seen it but because of the suspense element and why is it happening. Putting the future and the past and intermittent between them was nicely done. It wont have audience in confusion except the part when young Joe actually killed old Joe when the loop occurred the 2nd time. Still cannot comprehend that. But it had to be a Bruce Willis movie the massacre at the Loopers den was typical Bruce.

There is a morale of this story. A person will become what he or she was experiencing in the past. If that is changed for the better the future will be better too. At least that is what young Joe believe in. Pity to what happened in the end.

This movie of medieval Chinese story and actors playing was produced by Netflix is a continuation of CTHD made 16 years ago (OMG that old !). That film was directed by Ang Lee and won many Academy awards despite its not being from Hollywood or England for that matter.

I can still remember the previous movie where the cinematography was simply breathtaking. Chow Yuat Fat was in that one and so did Michelle Yeoh who is also in this one (bit older of course). That time Zhang Yi Zi was the hottie in China then in the US. However she is not in this one as I remember her character died in the last one ? But we got another new hottie here whom looks like her. A mixed chinese Italian and live in Australia. Her first film and hopefully more to come.Natasha Liu playing snow vase.

A heavier Jason Scott Lee played the bad guy here vs Donnie Yen.

If one is to compare between the two this one is pale in comparison. It is not a classic for the acting even the fighting is not on par with its predecessor. As you know Ang Lee's direction can be very artistry like the last one. This is not directed by him. Thou you have the famous flying on the rope  when it was funny then with the scene chasing on bamboo trees, these also have that (not on bamboo trees thou) and seem to be still funny too. But who could blame them and you enjoy the actions and the fighting scenes unfolded in front of you. 

There are many fighting here and you will not be disappointing although you know they are on ropes.

Not much story to tell except for the story to do flashback to bring everybody up to speed on what and why what you see is happening. The gist is "Dont let the crook take away the sword"

Not as good as I would expected because I keep on comparing to the first one. If it is on its own, it would be a good ancient Chinese Martial Art movie. Thats why the it could have been better smiley.

PHANTOM HUNTING

A surprising emoticon because of its commendable effort in trying to be good. But you will be thrill allright.

This is a foreign language movie which was translated, I think or just bad voice over ? Possibly from Khazashtan its a futuristic movie set in the future (maybe) with known names like Armande Asante (Judge Dred) and Kristen Loken (Terminator).They are definitely crowd pullers. KL looks like Sharon Stone when she was younger and sexy.  Other cast are film locals lead by pretty boy so called martial art expert by the name of Timur (in the movie).

At least the movie made an effort to look hi tech and highly budgeted. Some of the action and fighting scenes are good. Explosion not so good but not so bad either better than low budgets sci fi films I see.

Aside from the acting which are basically woody (except for the "stars" of course) the background music is overdone which I didnt like. Movies that do this tend to hide the scenes with music because the acting is not good or the set is under par etc. Good movies have silence which spoke a thousand words.

Then the make up is another thing. They all look well done even after fights and runs. Some makeups of the females looks the same with same hairstyle that sometimes it confuse audiences (or is it only me). Many pretty boys and girls in this movie thou.

Be prepared to see some ridiculous actions like a car going from a cliff but exactly landed on the rails. Or a motorbike going through the roof of a bus and remain unscathed. But its thrilling thou maybe not logic. The hero and villain know Parkour too ! And whats these hot army chicks on the plane with hot pants. Dont forget Point Break 1 cliche saving one from a plane who is without parachute and when its landed on rooftop of a sky scrapper the crooks happened to be there. Talking about coincidence !

The timeline and logistic is also questionable when the location is discovered just in seconds they are there.

The flow of story telling is not good either, between the flashbacks and the current happenings, I tend to got lost. Also from scenes to scenes, its kindda of not smooth or right. Theres one scene where the bad guy look very soft when confronting his boss (I think) but when he's running and fighting our pretty boy hero, he was so tough. Also some reaction from the characters interaction dont quite make sense like when you stab someone in the calf your reaction would be to punch the guy (or gal) in the nose unless the hand was tight up or he was paralyzed. Anyway he could feel the pain when the knife was stabbed, isnt it.

This is a movie you expect when you sit inset aside the illogical parts but you are still thrill which is a good thing

The reviews I came across from the internet for this movie is not good. This movie made only $1/2 mill bucks ? OMG!  Others complaining that its another bummer for Cussack and De Niro. One says its better to go get a haircut than watching this. Talking about haters !

I dont say that this is a commendable movie either but not to the extent of belittling what you saw. There are worser movie out there. This one is OK you got what you sit for, thats my analogy.

The Bag Man is an adaptation from a play by the name of Motel. It has big name like De Niro and known actors like John Cussack, Crispin Glover and not forgetting Domenic Purcel. Dont believe I have seen Rebecca Cos Ta before, a tall 6 footer slim blonde (at least in this movie). Hispanic from the name but acted as Russian. So did R D Niro.

I am never a fan of Cussack but I think he did OK in this one. His acting does not show much emotion and just like Keanu Reeves in John Wick he got the part of a killer part time delivery boy for a bag which DeNiro wants without him ever looking whats in it.

As the movie is based on a play, the plot is actually interesting. You keep on wanting to know whats in the bag and whoever Jack (JC) met you tend to ask if they are bad people. There are killings of course and like me I kept on asking when are these killing going to stop or are there anyone more to be killed ?

Robert D Niro did his part well. Good acting as usual but you never felt that he is in this because the studio wants to bank on his name like JK Simmons in Dark Skies :) or a lot of other films that are stingy to pay established actors but put them in the ensemble to bank the movies. Better hair he donned in the film. White like "The intern" but more flushy.

The film didnt feel cheap. No question on the acting. Not that it require great acting because it didnt go there but since they are good actors it makes everything believable. The action is good and the interaction among the characters are also all right. My only complain was how come Jack's hand can be hang with handcuffs without any injury. Then the shooting of the handcuffs at close range, just cant buy it.  

Dont stop until the closing credit because there are a bit more than you think that everything is already over. It will make the movie smarter.

(spoiler) one part i like was when RDN's character bashed up an attractive girl's face who was a Forex Trader for clicking the Buy button instead of the Sell button and screwing his investment. That was good.  

See this if you want some (lots of it thou) bang bang.
