Sufficient imb ranking, Ruffalo and Saldana acting

 Not bad but nice and cute even when two green super heroes (one was in fact a villian) got married
Got the chance to view this finally at a hotel on netbook with headphones on. Quite short at about 1 1/2 hrs long. Both Ruffallo and Saldana had acted as Marvel characters before. But this story has got nothing to do with action and if not good acting it would have been a bomb. But it turned out to be good nice and cute as a family movie.
It was not mention often in he movie that Cam had Bi Polar. I think it was only once. And the way he was arguing with his 2 girls, we thought even the children inherit the father's illness. Loud and eccentric.
Initially in the first part of the film I thought they never gonna raise the mixed marriage issue which can be illogic particularly when this movie was happening in the 70's. Finally they did and it become more real. The eldest daughter was telling that she does not look that black like her younger sibling which is true. However, how the Cam's family accepted their marriage without any doubt from his parents to grandmother can be unebelievable especially this happened in the 70's. Not saying that everyone at that time were racists, but the openly wide acceptance is a bit far fetched.
I also dont think that a mother can leave thier daughters in the hand of a BiPolar father for 18 months to study far far away ! Surprisingly the arrangement continued when she accepted work in New York the place she studied MBA. The only difference, they could afford to pay for the children's education in a better school. But how they could afford to survive when the husband had no job and the mother studying, I dont really know.
Some routine where the bi polar father can leave the 2 young daughters alone in the apartment to go drinking is really uncalled for. And most of the time we never fail to see Cam smoking his day's away.
But anyway this was a good movie with a believable loving and caring family despite the hardship they went through; Good acting resulted it to be such.

Meru

Unknown film with high imb ranking

Finally saw this documentary movie as it was still kept in the archive as movie to see. In a way its like Everest where it is based on a true story. The big difference is that the footage of this movie is actually the real thing as it was taken by director/video grapher Danny Chin who was also one of the 3 guys to first reached Meru's top. Its a wonder how did they get the video so sharped and detail and "clean". I dont think there's any or much cheating when doing the footage as this film was one of the documentary film voted for best documentary in the recent Academy. Maybe its the GoPro movie camera costing over RM1k which could be the answer.
Well this film is good also for inspirational reason like Renan (?) who doctors diagnosed as may not be able to walk again after the ski boarding fatal accident on one of the snowy steep mountain. He defied the odds and end up at the top of Shark Fin of Meru.
Looking in wikipedia, Meru is not even on the top 100 of tallest peak in the world. Everest is about 29k feet while Meru at around 20k. Its the last 5,000ft thats challenging. Its challenge lies in its Shark's fin shape peak. True as they say, Climbing Everest  you have Sherpa's to help you and the path are already established and cleared but you dont have this perks for Meru. Even these guys have reached Everest 4 times even skiing down on occasion.
Remarkable documentary not only in its contents but how good it was captured.

This is the continuation of the movie "The Maze Runner" which did ok because of Hunger Games and other teen stuffs movies. It continues where the other left off. Hopes it does not disappoint.

REVIEW
I like this movie and it went above my expectation. In fact I saw it 1 1/2 times. Why ? Well initially I watched it on the old HDRip downloaded version . The experience was good but then again something amiss especially in the dark scenes which contain a lot in this movie. Then thinking of not to waste a good movie and knowing that BluRay version is already around, I stopped watching it halfway and get a copy of the BluRay version. After getting that I rerun the action scenes that I saw earlier, and it was much more satisfying including the audio.
To me, this movie or franchise rather, do not overly done unlike Hunger games with all the make ups and costumes, screenplay and even direction. When watching this movie, you know that this could happen in the future.
The technique of the running scenes were simply great. With the moving shaky cam you feel that you are running with them. Thou its over 2 hours, I was not bored there is always an element of surprise coming and the "I dont expect that" feeling.
But like all other teenage from books movie like this one including - Harry Potter, Hunger games, Divergent etc, you know that they are making another sequel. But I am looking forward.
The first one was OK it was just a group of boys (and girl) fighting robot spiders in a concrete maze. This one is about Zombies of sort and a bunch of bad guys who think they are good.
Time worth spent !

Captain America voluntered to stop a gang war which was initiated by a 3rd party. Like a tamil film the boy and girl from the different gang fell in love and that makes Alex's job much more personal. Cass also had to be personal with her BF nick to play act that she wants the relationship to be a distant. This after Johnson Pitboss advice to keep away or he might get hurt. BTW Nick is the guy from Revenge.

Did she mentioned 43 or 48 as her age. But one of the age is when her mother committed suicide. Give your observation under comments.

Actually this movie cant be classified as a comedy as the PreReview implied. Yeah there were some funny moments but its not what the movie is all about. To be more accurate, its on how to be a DJ who is Zac Efron in this movie. He followed his mentor the guy who got swept away by Tusnami on a distant planet in Interstellar (Wes Bentley). It was an OK movie to lull the time away. Must be a real treat to those who love clubbing. Is this the kind of music they are playing at the clubs these days ? Still cant comprehend how clubbers can enjoy themselves watching DJ strutting his stuff particular at the end of movie when Cole/Zac was on stage. With the crowds so packed i dont think they can even dance to enjoy. But that was a fest and not a club. I think it was very kind and generous of James (the mentor) to still be friend with Cole even after what happened with his Girlfriend/Assistant with Cole. The camera work was good too so its not boring. Watching this movie can answer those question on what makes a DJ.. or a good one. How they get the ideas for his piece and go about getting them and mixing them. Nothing much to learn from the morale of the movie (if any). Yes debut directorial from the director of the movie.

Supergirl still having identity crisis in this episode. Worse she got heart broken with J Olson who apparent is dating Lois's cousin who is actually Mr. Tatum in real life. Superman made his shadowy appearance in this episode. J Olson can talk quite cheesy. Looks it gonna be a 2 way attention fight for SG. SG chats with SM at the end.

Featuring now old Lou Diamond Phillip. Seem that the tatooing tells what to happen very soon after, which dont make sense. Example - finding guns and helicopter parked and ready to go, gimme a break ! Then there's this code found in the library right to the intended page. Quite far fetch. Its fun if you dont take it seriously. But how long will the tatoos on Jane's body got exhausted ? Good shooting thou.

This following episode, returning after quite sometime from the pilot episode, SG is trying very hard to fit in as a super hero. Like those before her, she was criticize initially for her blunders. Her half sister who works with the Alien organization showed her on how to fight, which should be as she knows nothing about fighting. Practicing in the partly armed kryptonite arena is smart where her strength and that of her half sister is more or less equal. But still towards the end of the episode SG was not taught martial arts yet. Well I dont think she'll ever be. If not she could be one lethal weapon.

Melanie looks good in the outfit. The black pantyhose kindda make her less sexy and thats OK. I think Melanie Benoist has better acting skills than Helen Slater who is her foster mother in this series. But how the show to go will depend on the producers. They are the same one as Flash and Arrow which are OK but lacking material. And i predict that one day, SG will sing as MB is an able singer too from Glee(I dont know that). Look below :

REVIEW 
Some say this is the best cinema's Mission Impossible Ethan Hunt's adventure. But some would say it still fell short of Ghost Protocol (the previous one). But it all depends on who's seeing it. Anyway, for Rogue Nation it is a great effort from the director who is also the writer of the film who also directed Edge of Tommorow and Jack Reacher who, as you may have guessed it, also stars Tom Cruise. Its no surprise on how the network works in Hollywood, isnt it ?
Now what about the film ?
You are thrilled all right from the start till the end. There is also the "Spy James Bond" movie type element which was the Opera scene which was non in other MI movies. And the motorbike chase scene was very scarry and looks real indeed. Not other action you know relying on CGIs. Well the producer Tom Cruise did those all by himself including the plane hanging, BMW car ride and the water scene. This is what commitment really means.
But for the thought, all IMFs (except Luther)  are of the same short height - Cruise, Pegg, Rainer including Ferguson too.
Aside from the action the strength also lies on how Teamwork can win the day. Dont forget friendship and loyalty especially Hunt and the team saving poor Benji who was kidnapped. How simple the thank from Ilsa to Hunt is also memorable as we dont know if Hunt is still married or not in this outing.
Some science fact you cant comprehend but thats what a movie is all about. One example was how Hunt can survive a 3 min no oxygen underwater. He could come out alive but brain damage in real life. But thats a movie is all about.
One thing for sure, you dont have to take MI movies seriously unlike current James Bond movie. Thats the fun and its edge.

No Escape

REVIEW
This is a film of human courage (family spirit to be more exact) against all odds in the face of tragedy (in this case man made tragedy - country civil war). Thou it was never told which country this happened, our guess is it happened in Thailand.
Pierce Brosnan is in the movie and from the poster our guess is he play the shooting guy. And we are right but how heroic he was is quite real as he get unlike when he was working with MI6.
The action did not dissapoint and there was some scarry ones. But the action was not overdone. Wilson and Bell played their part as responsible parents well. Unlike J Bateman in The Gift, thou O Wilson played a serious part in this one, certain parts we can glimpse the comedic actor he is. but thats ok for it did not spoil the film.
A good movie overall in its genre.
