Being the last season before lights off, noticeable changes we are seeing is where the hopefuls are being vetted at the stadium hence answering the question where the hell the trio finds the time to audition thousands of people !

A few "on the fence" performers who was not selected is understandable - like the wife of the duo with the baby, the fat cowboy and a few more. But through the years we were made to believe that those very below par participants can made thru the judges ? It happend because thats entertainment material at the expense of the participants, I guess.

Notable changes they invited past winners and near winners to do the vetting. Long time no see Taylor Hicks - how come your hair got white ?

The cop gal who handcuffed Harry is memorable to me. Not the handcuffed antics ! Pretty yet tough and a real cop ! Thank god she made it thru ! Also the pretty Indian migrant contestant who Harry says should be one to watch. But as we know, judges predictions cannot always be right.

Sad to see this musical reality shows go away after this season. To me, its one musical reality show that give people hope to be somebody thru tedious challenges and work. Not all winners will make it in the real world. Even some who did not reached the top are now better off than those who did. In fact i totally forgot who was last year winner which during the show reminded me again - its Nick. But i voted Beckham !
