Why this movie ? well Jason Bateman is in it. Not much fan of Rebecca Hall unless she tone down her body a bit (little heavy in IronMan3) and Edgerton (heard but cant remember). Nevertheless, good reviews for this movie online. Hope it will not disappoint.
REVIEW
One joke before we start reviewing this movie. This is not a superhero movie despite having Bateman and Robynn in it ! (Got it ??)
Well to start with, kudos to Gordo in real life who is Joel Edgarton. He did not only act but also direct and wrote this film. And not many can do that. A few did it and get shitty in all departments.
Jason Bateman can act a serious role without imagining that he is actually a comedy based actor. Rebeca Hall, what can I say, she is tall, looks like Anne Hathaway and slimmer than in Iron Man 3, good for her.
But why jogging in the middle of the road (even when you are pregnant!). Must be no cars in the neighbourhood.
One good morale of the story is that when you grew up being a bully, you cant really believe what other people are saying because you lie all the time.
But who's the bad guy - Simon or Gordo or maybe both of them ? Simon we realised towards the end of the movie he's a bad guy and never stop being one especially when he falsified Danny just to get his promotion. But Gordo is really a sicko after all as he actually stalked Robynn from the footage in the video and with police record. But is he the father of Robyn's child, not a big deal for they can do a DNA test. There's no indication that he raped Robynn in the video. He did not admit to that anyway.
So "what comes around goes around" apply here.
The movie thought of going bad from the beginning but it picked up as we go along and Yes we got mystified after all.
