Heroes Reborn (Ep7 pt1)
- The old characters are back in this episode and the plot is getting trickier and complex but still manage to grip it. Awaiting for part 2 of this episode. Now we know who Nathan is and how his stepmother is actually the nurse (or doctor) who delivered him.

Now it seem that Wesley must show his chopping skills in every episode including this one. More personal when Alex's niece is involved. Not dissapointing for a TV show to pass the week by.

This about what you can get wrong in a typical american restaurant. Also in this episode, Adam introduce his real life father. He is really name "Conover" ! I thought that was a joke name. Very insightful about what's are behind the scene in a restaurant (particularly American one)

Seen this at the cinema before the Blog was up. So will be reviewing it even before showing it.
REVIEW
Saw this movie at the cinema because of the main stars- Superman, Lone Ranger and ExMachinia. It also have good reviews from Youtube movie reviewers. Also this film was directed by Modanna's Ex (husband) who directed some notable films such as "Sherlock Holmes" (the downey jr one). But after watching it, begged to differ with the kind reviews - might have spend the time better at home watching it on TV (media player). The action and acting to me is good but not OK as I expected something more. After all it is a movie set in the 60's and perhaps the gadgetry is all inadequate. And also perhaps the story line is too simple - both in how it is told and what the story line is - about US and the Russia's cold war.
I was impressed with Mr Superman's not only ascent but his nasal sounding like Robert Vaughn in the TV series. But both of them are tall in contrast with thier shorties TV counter parts.
Everyone will have their opinion with this movie of course. But it was sad enough when it came out everyone said how good this is compared to Hitman 47. Even the storyline is similiar, so they are saying. But you cant go to both of these movies with the same intention in mind. Go to this one if you want good acting, fancy actors, intelligent dialogue and time at the cinema (its over 2 hours). Go to Hitman if you want shoot shoot bang bang thing.
See it and be your own judge.

Meryl Streep is in this. So does Ricky Springfield. Most things where Ms Streep in it could possibly be good. Hope this one too. It may your typical Aged folk getting into rock thing. Well lets see.

This movie was chosen for the reason non other than Captain America is in it. Alice Eve is also familiar but cant remember from where. Lets have a dose of romance for a change. As you can see, Chris Evans is again bearded in this one. He's following Keanu Reeves and they both acted together before in 1 movie i am trying to recall. Lets hope this does not disappoint.

Deciding to watch this movie is deciding to spend some time in something romantic, which i did. At the start of the the film indications were everywhere that this is a low budget film with unknown who cares director. The attraction to sit down to watch are the 2 lead actors. C Evans is of course our Captain America and Alice Eve (The brit chick) was in "Dirty Weekend" as the lesbian brunnete (i remember). But here she was still a brit but a blonde and slim down a bit.
Wont touch on how the story went but what I can say it is an impressive romantic story with 2 believable and possibly existant characters in real life. This could be a shoe string budget film. But one thing that draw my intention is how come Chris Evan's physique is so ordinary ? He did CA2 in 2014. But he definitely did not seem so here.
The plot is not your ordinary boy meets girl and fall in love and the end. Even the ending left too many questions as there could be a sequel to this one to come. But both Brooke and Nick love stories seem to be at the extreme (but could happen). Boy splitted with his ex GF for 6 years already but feeling is still there while Girl is not happily married and still love her jilted husband and wanted to give another chance.
And the most touching part is at the end at the pay phone where Nick confessed that he need Brooke more than she need him. How they parted at Grand Central Station was also not seem cheesy at all.
BTW one of the writer did won an oscar for Rain Man. But guess who was the director - non other than Captain America himself !
One of the best romantic movie i have seen.

This movie is chosen not because of the picturesque of the poster rather than the actors in it. Hope this does not disappoint. Reckon about old men thinking young again ? Ms D Craig is in this. That is a watch.

This film was chosen because Kurt Russel is in it. The last movie he did which we see was FF7. So he's back to his root with a cowboy film. Second because of good imdb rating. Enjoy.
Review
First of all, before seeing this movie one must be sure that one like or can tolerate lengthy limited budget cowboy film. Why not as this is a 2 hr 12 m long movie but with notable actors like Russel, Fox, Wilson and even Jenkins too. During the show which felt dragging, knowing that its long, was what you paid money for. Simple plot about kidnapping and a very determined but handicapped posse to save them.
Here are some notable observation in the movie :-
- The footsteps in the bar and sheriff office was really prominiently loud. Which is actually what should be of a cowboy film as the floors are made of wood !
- These cowboys sometimes used big words. Words which can improve your vocabulary and you wouldnt think these folks could apply in their chatting.
- What made me (or many people to continue seeing) was when the lady doctor got abducted. As there was an able bed scene, audience thought they must be some more in front. On the contrary, there was non and we were feasted with gory butchered bodies. Didnt the savages want anything to do with Mdm Doctor ?
- If the movie was cut short at 1 1/2hr movie the suspense could be more contained. But even at this length its ok as the scenes (thou slow) fit the story nicely. But dont ask me how they can walk so far so fast when thier horses got stolen or how a broken nearly amputated leg cowboy did it, god knows.

Overall, this is a well done movie. The mixture of the goriness, action and drama is right enough to make it enjoyable through out. Thumbs up for cowboy film.

- How to get away with murder
Now this series is getting much much complicated to the point of cant understand
- CSI Cyber Crime 
About some boys being lured by a android Apps to the woods by some mentally retarded artist. This episode has many cliches; new girl meets boy, man befriending woman, boy makes up with girl, father got sick etc. But still the episode did not work out for me. Maybe just a bit.
- Mdm Secretary
Interesting. In this episode shows the family thing about Elizabeth and the president when the son and daughters' picture was hijack from the president's son phone. Thought of ditching the series part way of this episode but then the plot turns better. Finally made me realise why i like this series after all.
- Quantico
The series is with too many characters and too frequent flashback between the day the bomb went off (present time) and the day they were training in Quantico. It could be called "Manual of Quantico Training". The suspense is who is the traitor among the many.
- Homeland
Good old Pete saving Carrie after all. Very slow at tortoise pace yet the show was engaging. Not too much plot to give you headache but interesting enough to wait for another Sunday. Good writing and acting this one is.

Spectre. Sky Movies Special

This is one TV upcoming movie documentary which is good including this one. In fact its the one documentary on Spectre that shows the most footage of the film. Making the movie much more anticiapted. Daniel can be very funny in an interview like in this one. Not the James Bond character you expected.
The show is premiering in London today and hitting Malaysia 4th Nov. Get your ticket booked. Definitely cinema material.

Writtings on the Wall (James Bond's Spectre Official Song)

Watched this the first time during Graham Norton Show. But that was a live performance from Sam Smith. The fact is SS is a tall chap taller than James Bond (Daniel) of course. What about the song ? Slow and haunting. Any good ? It will depend on the movie.

Blog going public worldwide ?

Due to a lot of work being constantly put into this blog, the authors intend to show it to a bigger audience by being public and worldwide. Like a movie cliche says "its not about the money" rather than sharing something we are doing for free and which we think is good with everybody else.
The blog's pages are in their final stages and will be published as soon as its online. The pages will explain on how to use the blog easy even for 1st time visitor. But we we need to be careful so as not to be prosecuted for doing this. The fact is everybody is doing it so why dont we (another movie cliche) and its not even about the money (thou we can put that avenue in the blog). Hitman Agent 47

REVIEW
Saw this one at the local cinema Jusco sometime back before this blog was created. So this is a belated review. Hope that i can still recall the movie.
This stars Rupert Friend who is Peter Quinn from the hit series Homeland. He can act as a cool killer all right but physique wise he is no six pack. Also read that the Paul Walker was to have taken this role before his untimely death.What reviewers complain was the usual cheesy lines, poor special effect and acting. But i beg to differ and give this movie a "satisfactory outing" at the cinemas. I like it. There could be follow ups judging from what happened at the end of the scene. Did Rupert did better than timothy ? I think so from his bloody cool acting. And what about Zachary Quinto as the villian ? He's Ok too and not extremely memorable at one. Will sure see it again after downloading. And that to me is good stuff.

So i dont mind spending over RM40 for the family.
The outcome
It was OK as i dont expect much but a bit disappointing on how it could have been. I think the director is sticking to make it "real" as possible so as not to over do the scene.
The popular actors like Clarke, Brolin, Galleyhall, Worthington and Knightly maximize their screen time effectively.
But when its over and as i came out of the movie i feel that it was based on a real movie.

Lets go another round of bang bang with the Player. Hope its better or at least better what it has been showing. 
 REVIEW
One of the best espisode with lots of action in this one. We also got to see Wesley doing his martial arts. Didnt seem to be your typical Kung Fu but something chinese. He even fought with the chinese guy who acted north korean also from Strike Back. If theres a survey on who do you think could be a Bond girl my vote for Cass. Real British and Classy this chick. The upcoming bond girl is not that hot (not Monica but the younger one).
In this episode Alex try to save this young white hat Indian hacker. The side plot about him and his wife got a bit thicker in this episode too. Good episode i say.

Pay The Ghost

Got to be another disastrous outing for Nicholas Cage with rating of only 5.2 on Imdb. Wait for its appearance.


REVIEW
Express see this muvee ahead of others as it was the only muvee or TV series in the thumbdrive. The attraction is of course Nick Cage is in it. Nice surprise Sarah Callas (of prison break) was in it also as Nicholas's wife.
Wont explain much about the plot as one need to see it. But at least there is a plot unlike most ghost muvees.
Not a horror film fan and watch this with no expectation. But i ended up liking it. I must say the after seeing ghost  muvee satisfaction of this one is even better than Poltergeist2015. No it did not elevate NC's stature in muvees. Even he cant even run in some of the scene. But without him as a veteran actor maybe the muvee wont be as "real" as it had been.
All female actors are slim. Kate, witch woman, professor even the ghost !  But thats a welcome compliment actually.

End Of The Tour

This movie could be great with rating of 7.9 (wtf!) ! on imdb. The cast are good too - Jason Segel (How i met your mother (TV) and other forgettable movies) with Jesse Eisenberg (Social Network and the upcoming Lex in Batman vs Superman). Choose to see definitely.

 REVIEW
This is a true drama about a journalist who is also a so so writer following while interviewing another writer on his last book tour. It happened in 5 days (from imdb), quarrel along the way on very petty and misunderstanding matters but parted away as friends. Then 12 years Wallace (interviewee played by Segal) shot himself. So this is Lipsky (Jesse/interviewer) flashback of that interview.
Its a drama and a lot of yikity yak. Whats important to absorb oneself in this kinda of movie is to get the conversation and ponder on its meaning. Anyway, Wallace seem to be a great writer having written a book thats over 1,000 pages long and yet people buys and read it.
It also tell how friendship built in the course of knowing another person that one admired but due to a work project. Segal was different in this one thou he always play characters that try to be funny but not so funny. Jesse like his usual self. Wonder in real life is the contrast in height of both of them are for real ?
Good film if you expect the film to go this way. Also tells you how an interviewer operates.  Anyway he attended 8 years of interviewing degree (for real or joke ?)
Out of context, are houses in the US built like the one in the movie ? By the roadside with very large window with only glass no fence or grill. What no crimes expected ?
